Level 1: Assistant Test User (Occupational)

(Formerly ‘Test Administration Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing’)

Aims and objectives

This one day, BPS verified course allows delegates to gain the skills required to administer and score psychometric tests. Many organisations find it useful to have a pool of people able to perform these crucial roles as part of a recruitment process. This also helps ensure that test administration is standardised within the organisation.

Content

Delegates are taught about how to best instruct candidates, how to carry out the administration of tests as well as how to score the results.

Outline

Module 4A:

Introduction to Testing: Occupational
Administering Tests to One or More Candidates
Maintaining Security and Confidentiality of the Test Materials and the Test Data

Qualification achieved

Successful trainees gain the British Psychological Society (BPS) qualification in Level 1: Assistant Test User. Delegates will be eligible for membership of the BPS Register of Qualifications in Test Use (RQTU), as a Registered Assistant Test User.

Format

We offer this one day course as an in-house course and adapt it for specific organisational requirements.  We recommend training between four and six delegates on each course.  The course can be held either at the organisation’s premises or at our premises in Kingston Upon Thames.
