We have created a specialist Board Development programme which helps boards gain a clearer view of who they are, how they are performing as a team and, most importantly, how to take this knowledge and translate it into effective delivery.
Our work in this area is underpinned by psychological techniques and over ten years experience in leadership development. We use experienced psychologists and facilitators to take a focused approach to helping boards:-
Identify the ideal capabilities to deliver organisational objectives.
Recognise gaps in these capabilities.
Assess their past performance.
Understand their personalities and how to make the most of the team dynamics.
Maximise team working.
Minimise team conflict.
Assess individual development needs.
Plan personal development for Board members.
Our approach is simple – using generic as well as specially developed material, board members complete a series of on-line psychometric questionnaires in advance of individual feedback and coaching sessions. These are followed by an intensive “time out” event, facilitated by our psychologists, where results are analysed, discussed and ways forward agreed by board members.
The “time out event” enables members to:-
Identify likely areas of concern in relation to effective team working.
Analyse key performance indicators when things go well.
Highlight examples of effective team delivery.
Identify opportunities to replicate and multiply situations of effective team delivery.
